This American single malt whiskey initially matures in new, charred American oak casks. It then undergoes a finishing period in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 100 proof.

A smooth experience at 50% ABV. The nose offers hints of caramel, cherry, and the characteristic 'double' oak. The palate begins with more oak, accompanied by a touch of cinnamon spice. The finish leaves a pleasant, lasting vanilla note.
The characteristic 'malt' is evident on the nose, along with spice and floral elements. The initial taste is sweet yet somewhat musty, settling into notes of cinnamon, grass, and the seasoning from the sherry cask.
A pleasant vanilla aroma. A considerable amount of burn lingers on the back of the tongue. Adding a drop or two of water doesn't significantly reduce the intensity, though it becomes a bit smoother when allowed to rest for a while.
From June 2022, aged 5 years. A strong aroma of plum and raisin. Good warmth. A distinct sherry influence. A tannic dark fruit reduction. Truly a sherry bomb. Could benefit from more balance as the barley is not prominent.
Smell similar to Maker's Mark. Mouthfeel is thin, lacking the oily quality of other bourbons. Not much lingering flavor.
A lot of wood, a hint of vanilla, and a longer finish than anticipated.
