About this bottle
Until his passing in 1968, George Garvin Brown II, president of Brown-Forman, personally selected single barrels of this cask-strength bourbon for bottling and distribution to a select group of bourbon enthusiasts, a practice that was highly unusual at the time. A limited quantity of these whiskies has since been reacquired by Old Forester and released with labels detailing the barrel owners and any known information about the whiskey, such as its age and storage location within a warehouse. Many of these releases originate from the 1950s. Note: This is a collector's item, and results may differ based on the source; it is advisable to purchase directly from the distillery or a trusted collector.
