Old Forester, the longest continuously produced bourbon, debuted its Birthday Bourbon in 2002. This release occurs annually around September 2nd to honor George Brown's birthday. Featuring a rye-forward mash bill, it shares similarities with Woodford Reserve beyond just their common recipe.

The smell has cherry, sugar, and a lot of wood. It has a deep caramel hue. A very slight initial warmth fades fast. Flavors of corn, sugar, fruit, and some wood on the tongue. Well-balanced, but the experience is brief.
Overflowing with vanilla! If you enjoy vanilla, grab a bottle! Lingering smoky wood on the aftertaste. Definitely a sweet delight.
Starts with loads of creamy vanilla, then a spicy kick follows. Very easy to consume.
A bit too strong. Could use some mellowing. The flavor and smell are good.
