Aged for six years and four months, Barrell Bourbon Batch 004 is a sourced product from an unidentified distillery in Kentucky. This bourbon was crafted using a combination of corn, rye, and malted barley. It is matured in new, charred oak barrels and presented at cask strength, measuring 116.7 proof. The bottling process is non-chill filtered.

A classic aroma, with sweet and leather notes. It's slightly astringent on the palate. Nutty flavors emerge mid-palate. Big tastes are present – salty, smoky, and sweet. Yet, there are subtle complexities too. It starts smooth, but the warmth definitely builds; after a few sips, you'll feel a warmth in your chest. A slight bitterness concludes it. 1/21/18
