Amy Brumfield 4.0

The aroma is somewhat peppery and very prominent with oak, peanuts, subtle hints of wilted blossoms, vanilla, leather, and a touch of brown sugar. This truly showcases the best aspects of wheat whiskey. It presents a substantial nose, nearly bread-like. Each scent increases anticipation for the initial taste. The palate is smooth and rich with oak and peanuts, supported by undertones of vanilla and a bit of brown sugar. It is indeed dense, contributing a certain richness, but overall, it is quite straightforward, in a pleasant way. It delivers the characteristics of wheat immediately, without unnecessary delays. It is delightful and easy to enjoy, making the experience clear. The finish is lengthy and somewhat dense, leaving a lingering mouthfeel that's nearly tart, yet it's a combination of oak and peanut that is surprisingly pleasing and distinct. It offers a unique perspective on whiskey, as straight wheat whiskey is uncommon. This, however, provides an excellent illustration of wheat whiskey's potential.
