About this bottle

This release marks the second offering in the Bowmore X Aston Martin Masters' Selection, a joint venture between the Scotch whisky producer and the luxury British automobile manufacturer Aston Martin. The single malts featured in this bottling were distilled in two different centuries, 1997 and 2000. Furthermore, the maturation process involved two distinct types of barrels: American oak hogsheads and sherry butts. The whisky is scheduled for release in key global markets, including the UK, Germany, Canada, China, and the US, starting in January 2023, with a suggested retail price of $450.

Jazlyn Pedersen 5.0

Richly appointed, peat-forward aroma, with a leathery scent. The tasting is exquisitely balanced with a viscous, warm and encompassing mouthfeel. Flavors burst on the tongue of sweet malt, deep wood, mild creosote, warm honeyed toast, light treacle, baking spices, and clotted cream. Absolutely delicious. The finish is medium long with some of the sherry notes clinging on to the end. A masterpiece of distilling, aging and blending.

Cristian Forrest 4.8

Sweet, complex palate, with excellent smoke and finish.
