January 17, 2023 A 50 ml sample I purchased long ago at a liquor store in the greater Vancouver area. Bottled in plastic, but oh well! Served at room temperature in a bulbous chimney-style tasting glass. A bit short at 46 ml. It appears to be close to its natural color for a 5-year-old whiskey, possibly with a touch of caramel added for color. Predominantly vanilla on the nose. Being 5 years old, you won't get much oak barrel influence on the nose or palate, except that the vanilla note originates from the oak, correct? Correct.
