It's a no-age-statement whisky, appearing mostly young, though it incorporates a higher percentage of sherry-matured and a smaller amount of virgin oak stock. Consequently, pleasant sherry notes mingle with bittersweet oak on a creamy palate. The nose is quite vibrant, offering citrus, figs, cinnamon, cloves, raisins, and vanilla. The finish is rather brief but, combined with the higher alcohol content, provides a richer, fuller mouthfeel.
