This straight rye whiskey originates from 45th Parallel Distillery in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Its ingredients include rye and corn sourced from a local family farm. The whiskey matures for a minimum of 2 years in new American oak barrels, each holding 53 gallons, and is then bottled at 92 proof.

Appearance: burnt orange, with ample glass lacing Smell: Butterscotch on the nose, a hint of rye spice, mild brown sugar Taste: caramel and vanilla followed by peppery spice and cinnamon. Finish: the rye is prominent with an oily mouthfeel and a lingering spicy finish
Smooth flavor with a vanilla note upfront, followed by cinnamon and peppercorn.
Wonderful flavor notes of honey and fruit. A smooth finish. I liked it.
Peppery but complex, with a strong pepper note on the palate.
This is a quality artisanal rye whiskey.
