Noel Madden 2.3

Nose: Freshly baked bread, dried grapes, confectioners' sugar, plums, beeswax candles. Taste: Gentle entry with prunes, raisins, dried apricot, and resin. It becomes more intricate during development, with a substantial and viscous texture. Aftertaste: Medium to long. Bittersweet chocolate and a hint of sour wax fade into a fruity semi-sweetness. This is a very standard grappa, showing all the typical aromas and flavors. However, I'd only suggest it if you're new to grappa and seeking an inexpensive option. Grappa usually contains many resinous notes from the grape stems and seeds, which might not be to your liking. For novices, drinking it ice cold in small amounts is advisable. Also, the term "Acquavitae di Vinaccia" simply signifies "spirit made from pomace" (grappa), not a specific origin or grape variety. "Adequate": 73/100 (2.25 stars)
