Maci Wendt 4.8

The bottle is one of the most remarkable we've encountered. It possesses an autumnal character and serves as an excellent conversation piece on the bar. However, the liquid gold within is truly the main attraction. It has a rich golden hue (hence the name Oro) in the glass; the aroma is reminiscent of the fall season, with a woody, fruity richness. The flavor is surprisingly floral, with a flowery quality that sits atop a robust grape distillate foundation. Intense, warming, and an ideal after-dinner digestif, this spirit also invites experimentation in custom cocktails. Overall, this grappa is truly exceptional and unique.

Alisha Aldridge 4.8

I was fortunate enough to receive a Poli grappa tasting set with 5 different varieties. I was incredibly impressed with the Sarpa di Poli, so let's see if this can top it. Aroma: Significantly less grappa-like than the Sarpa. Stone fruits and honey. Very appealing. Palate: A medley of fruits and very floral, reminiscent of a fine sorbetto. Finish: You can definitely detect the Moscato here, sweet and fruity but fades quickly. No criticism there. This is superior to many Cognacs I've encountered. It embodies everything I appreciate about wine and brandy combined. Excellent.
