Jamal Lim 2.5

Appearance: Resembles milk, like a glass of high-cream milk. Aroma: Vanilla, caramel, with the slightest touch of nutmeg. Taste and Texture: Creamy, buttery vanilla with a hint of caramel. The texture is pleasantly full without being thick or oily. It's somewhat like Bailey's, but as if all the whisky, cocoa were removed and vodka used as the base. A pleasant but unremarkable liqueur. There's a lecithin/cocoa butter taste, but it's very faint and mostly noticeable on the aftertaste. The palate is primarily a creamy vanilla experience, similar to plain vanilla ice cream. There was an old popular Australian sweet called Jersey caramels. These were fudgy toffee cubes, about 3/4 inch square, with three layers: vanilla in the center and caramel on the top and bottom. This liqueur tastes very much like a Jersey caramel. Mozart offers a range of chocolate liqueurs. We've tried three, with extremely varied results. The gold-foil wrapped milk chocolate liqueur is quite good; this one is just 'meh', and the strawberry chocolate liqueur is terribly bad. With two more to sample from their line, I'm unsure if we'll bother. My partner, who enjoys creamy liqueurs, found this one 'nice but forgettable'. "Average": 77/100 (2.5 stars)
