The benchmark for all creme de cacaos, this offering is undoubtedly the finest, possibly ranking among the best liqueurs overall. The aroma is, as anticipated, dominated by cacao and vanilla. The palate is where its superiority is evident, surpassing other creme de cacaos. It's rich and indulgent without being excessively sweet. Hints of cinnamon and vanilla are present, and it never tastes artificial. It's akin to drinking a brownie. The finish is prolonged, without any burn, delivering a wave of chocolate syrup. Is it pricey? Absolutely, but entirely justified. Any cocktail requiring creme de cacao will be enhanced by its use; just be prepared to adjust quantities if the recipe assumes a less expensive, artificially flavored creme de cacao. If you seek to understand the taste of a high-quality liqueur, this is it.

Served: Neat, Flute Bottle Open: 2 Months Abv: 24% Brix Refractometer reading: 54% (Not actual brix due to presence of alcohol) Aroma: First Impressions are brownies and bakers chocolate. Returning after several sniffs yields a more medicinal chocolate aroma. Flavor: Like drinking brownies up front with a darker version of hersheys chocolate syrup in the back. Must be taken in tiny sips, otherwise the alcohol and chocolate flavors clash. Makes an amazing Grasshopper (Won't be green) In contrast to Tempus Fugit's suggestions, their Creme De Menthe is much too strong for an equal parts grasshopper. Grasshopper: 1oz cream 0.5oz Tempus Fugit Creme de Menthe 1.5oz Tempus Fugi Creme de Cacao
Without question, the top Creme De Cacao available.
