Born to Raise Hell. It's like an "Ace of Spades" of a whisky. The Swedish distillery Mackmyra released the "Motörhead" whisky some years ago to commemorate the rock band's 40th anniversary. The band reportedly had a hand in selecting the casks for the whisky's maturation. Bottled at 40% ABV, it has a tawny color. On the nose, it's very much like bourbon. Burnt caramel, caramel milkshake, banana, and butter. Tobacco, maple syrup, Cap'n Crunch cereal, and corn. Malted barley, coffee, and milk chocolate. Very sweet. On the palate, it was a very enjoyable whisky. Prunes, pepper, vanilla, grapefruit. Corn, grain, BBQ sauce, and pancake batter. Caramel popcorn and prunes. The aftertaste is very balanced and remains quite interesting. Smoky, tobacco, very bitter, BBQ sauce, pepper, and sausage. After a few sips, it became grassy, with notes of hay and aniseed. Overall, I truly believe this is a dangerously drinkable and fairly complex whisky. Even though its tasting and aroma notes are quite standard, there's a lot to appreciate. It feels more like a fancy bourbon than a single malt, and it's well-made. My rating for it is 88 out of 100.

Appearance: Hue of dark amber. Nose: Aroma is not very pronounced, with a hint of sweetness. Palate: Lacks significant flavor, easy to consume. Some sweetness present. Finish: The taste vanishes rapidly, leaving a mild burn.

Sharp. Good flavor but fades too fast. Better with Coke?!
