Montanya Distilleries in Colorado offers this limited edition rum. It undergoes two years of aging in used Colorado whiskey barrels before being transferred to French oak barrels that previously held Sutcliffe Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and Port for an additional six months of aging. This rum is exclusively available in Colorado.

This was excellent! Abundant complexity while retaining that essential rum character without being overly sweet. A lot of flavor is packed into this bottle despite the relatively young age statement. I strongly suggest trying this one neat; it truly shines by itself.
A solid, rich, full-bodied rum despite being aged for only a couple of years.
