Milagro Silver Tequila

I'm not a tequila expert and don't claim to be, but Jose Cuervo isn't my favorite, and Patron is beyond my budget. So, one of my breakfast companions recommended this Milagro, and I'm really starting to appreciate it. It's smooth enough to drink straight, initially a bit slick and oily, yet it's crisp and citrusy. The body is full of agave with detectable cucumber and earthy herbal notes, which is quite pleasant. You notice a peppery finish, but it's smooth rather than hot or spicy. This silver isn't harsh or astringent at all; I truly enjoy the full agave flavor presented here. I haven't explored much in the realm of tequila, but I like this one, and it's reasonably priced. My wife is visiting our youngest daughter and grandchildren in Florida, it's 97° here, and it's time for a margarita. One of my buddies suggested adding 1/2 oz of Grand Marnier, and I must say, it's quite good. I think it's time for another one - Cheers!

At the time of purchase, I sought an affordable silver tequila suitable for mixed drinks, and this spirit fits that role perfectly. Its aroma is subtly earthy, with a hint of ethanol. The palate is light and somewhat fruity, yet very pure. The finish is brief and mellow, lacking any harshness. I utilized this tequila in two beverages: the Margarita and the Ranch Water, and it performed exceptionally well in both. The Margarita was zesty and crisp, and the Ranch Water has become my preferred refreshment for warm weather, proving to be delightful. This is an easy recommendation considering its price and flexibility. Cheers.

The palate is delicate and diluted, offering a vegetal bite (or perhaps it's just unripe?) alongside tropical notes like pineapple; truly divine. The finish is brief and cooling, with mint. When served over ice, the sweetness emerges, and that green character softens. It's considerably more enjoyable on ice. Not a terrible tequila, and superior to another reviewed spirit. Excellent for elevating a Margarita; it lends a sophisticated touch, though its cost might suggest inferior quality. The price might make you think it's cheap.

Drinking it straight. It smells sweet, tangy, and earthy. Lots of cooked agave and greens, but it stays quite clear. The flavor begins with white sugar and an artificial sweetness, then herbal notes of tarragon, tobacco, and mint appear. The sweetness fades towards the end of the palate, only to return with the dry finish. It's smooth enough overall, with a slight kick. A fascinating spirit because the flavors shift considerably throughout the tasting, and some are quite unusual. It's certainly worth a try for the price, if only to challenge your palate.

A 3.5/5 average rating on this app is surprisingly low for Milagro Blanco, which I gave an 80% (4/5). The 10% difference isn't huge, but this isn't a bad tequila. It presents familiar notes alongside qualities that make it suitable for mixing without worry, or for sipping with spice and sweetness. A good value for this honest tequila.

I purchased this after enjoying a different version from the same brand, which came in an ornate bottle. The price was also a factor, as I needed to meet a minimum for delivery. It's very drinkable on its own. It's quite smooth, but lacks distinct flavor or character. It would suit someone new to tequila or looking for a tequila base in a cocktail that doesn't overpower other ingredients.
