Naturally, I had sampled Patron and some others like 1800 reposado before trying Milagro. I was searching for something with Patron's smoothness but at a much lower price than the $100+ Patron costs in Canada. Milagro reposado certainly met the criteria with agave notes and distinct hints of vanilla, all for just $44 a bottle. However, I have to order them through the LCBO as they are hard to find in stores.

About this bottle
Milagro's tequila, made from 100% blue agave grown in the Highlands, is presented in a distinctive copper-colored bottle with shading. The liquid itself has a pale-straw hue, resulting from 2-4 months of aging in American oak barrels.

Served neat. The aroma offers subtle vanilla, agave, spicy oak, with just a touch of ethanol. The flavor is clean, slightly sweet sugar cane, vanilla, oak, agave, and a whisper of green herbs. It finishes with light vanilla sweetness, a gently warming black pepper, alcohol, and drying oak tannins. Offers great value. A straightforward, drinkable spirit at a mixer's price.
Sweet aroma with hints of caramel and apple. Significantly less ethanol smell compared to other similarly priced reposados. Very smooth on the palate. Lacks depth. Suitable for sipping at this price point.
Rather uninspiring and carries a significant bite for a reposado. Compared to other tequilas tried simultaneously, this one ranked lowest. I used to favor Milagro long ago; things seem to have shifted.
Lightly toasted agave with a gentle peppery heat. It's comparable to Cabo Wabo but costs half as much. It's light and lacks complexity, but it's still among the better affordable tequilas. Cost $45 in Ontario.
It has some vegetal characteristics but is primarily flavored with roasted agave, pepitas, milk chocolate, and a hint of vanilla.
