Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Chapter One marks the commencement of the Silent Distillery Collection, a series of six releases planned for annual introduction until 2025, all featuring spirits from the Old Midleton Distillery (1825-1975). Chapter One is a single malt from 1974, created by Master Distiller Emeritus Max Crockett using peated single malt. It aged for 45 years in a third-fill sherry cask and is presented at 51.2% ABV. Only 48 bottles are available across Ireland, the UK, France, and the United States.
