A top pick from my personal collection. Compared it to the 2022 version, and this one was far superior. The 2023 release completely surpassed it. It's rich and smooth, with vanilla notes that coat the palate, layered over complex rye flavors. Outstanding.

About this bottle
The 2023 iteration of Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye is slated for release in April 2023. This Kentucky straight rye is crafted using rye, corn, and malted barley. Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson selected the barrels for the 2023 bottling. Consistent with all Michter's whiskeys, this product is allocated. However, Michter's has increased its production capacity, including transitioning its Shively Distillery to round-the-clock operations, to address demand. (SRP $200)

Really tasty and smooth. It's low proof, but has fantastic notes of vanilla, dark cherry, and dark chocolate. The finish is quite short, but it's definitely enjoyable.
The aroma is of caramel and sweet candies. The initial taste is sweet and carmel-like, then the rye spice emerges for a satisfying, extended finish where I detect fruit notes.
Honestly, this is the best rye I've ever had. I feel like I could eat the glass after finishing the pour.
Quite pleasant and flavorful. The finish is good and it's very smooth.
This was my favorite of the evening; I had two servings.
