This doesn't present like a typical rye. It's very sweet, with spice that persists throughout, leading to a lengthy cinnamon finish. I'm not a big rye fan, but I appreciate this as a reliably lively whiskey.
A good deal of the usual rye spice and sweetness. Clearly detects notes from Wilderness Trail products. A very distinct sweetness on the back of the palate. Not my top rye choice, but solid.
