Method and Madness Irish Micro Distilled Gin

Nose: Sweet juniper and vibrant citrus. A subtle floral scent in the background and hints of pine needle. Warm, spicy tones are present beneath the primary aromas. Palate: A sweet and creamy initial impression that develops into ginger, cinnamon, and sweet pepper flavors with an herbal undertone reminiscent of bouquet garni. The pine needle note reappears as it progresses. The texture is rich and warming. Finish: Medium to short duration. The sweetness subsides into a grassy, herbal aftertaste with traces of lavender, leaving a comforting sensation. A highly enjoyable and well-balanced gin that is pleasant to drink neat and also pairs well with tonic. It possesses substantial character without being overpowering or overly emphasizing the juniper. I sampled it with Fever Tree Mediterranean, Fever Tree Premium Indian, and Schweppes Indian, but it has enough presence to work effectively with any tonic. I suspect it would also be very successful with flavored tonics like Fever Tree Lemon or Capi Native Botanical. Considering its price point, it competes with a broad spectrum of similarly expressive artisan gins, and it holds its own exceptionally well. I tasted this from a sample gifted by a coworker (thank you, Wei!) who bought it as a TRE. It is now locally available, and I purchased a bottle today. 'Excellent': 89/100 (4.75 stars)

The final dram in the series sent by a friend. This is a pleasant spirit both neat and exceptionally good with an East Imperial tonic. Scored 4 neat and 4.25 with the tonic. My thanks again to the friend for the incredible variety in tasting across the spirit world. I doubt I will ever have the chance to try such variety in a tasting set again! Update: This gin has made most other gins seem inferior. I usually get tired of a bottle and give it away... of any type of spirit. This gin, after the sample from a friend, I purchased and finished an entire bottle in record time. I avoided buying it again because it was too habit-forming. Now I am drinking other gin I previously thought were great, but this is much better. Unfortunately, it is out of stock at my regular store. Buy with confidence. Scored 4.25 in the overall spirit world, upgraded to a 4.5 in the gin world. The value for money in this current era is astonishing.

A very distinctive gin, unlike most others, it's smooth with floral and citrus notes. Tasting Profile: Lemon Balm & Grated Ginger with a unique essence from wild Irish gorse flower. Taste: Spicy pine and notes of forest floor, balanced by a burst of citrus. Finish: Crisp and enduring with a lingering earthy citrus and gradually warming spice.

This gin is my top pick and a major reason for wanting to return to Ireland. It's crisp, vibrant, and layered. I wish it could be bought in the US.
