Created some years after the initial 40% version in 1999, Martin Miller's Westbourne Strength gin utilizes the same botanicals but in different proportions. The spirit is pot-distilled in England through two distinct botanical distillations and a wheat-based neutral spirit. Botanicals are macerated for the first distillation, while the second uses only citrus peels. These are then combined, followed by a cucumber distillation. Icelandic water is used to reduce the proof, and this bottling is at 45.2% ABV.

Intriguing. Features citrus and juniper. While straightforward, it possesses some complexity and strength. I'm also detecting hints of cucumber, spice, and a touch of sweetness. Excellent for enhancing a cocktail. I likely won't buy it again, unless I specifically need an overproof gin. My preference lies with Martin Miller’s Original.
My preferred gin for martinis. I especially appreciate the peppery finish, which is how it tastes to me. I'm not particularly fond of the 80 proof, though it might be suitable for certain cocktails that aren't spirit-forward.
My second favorite gin. Fantastic.
