Gilpin's Westmorland Extra Dry Gin is a London Dry style, though it is distilled at Thames Distillery in London. It is made using a four-times distilled, neutral wheat-based spirit and incorporates eight botanicals such as sage, borage, and lime peel. The botanicals are steeped in the neutral spirit alongside water sourced from the Holy Well Spring in Cartmel, located in England's Lake District. This gin is produced in batches, with the distillation year, batch, and bottle numbers indicated on each bottle. It is bottled at 47% ABV and is not presently available in the U.S.

Wonderfully subtle! As far as gin goes, this is top-tier. I've bought 13 bottles and am sadly on my last one. I need to make another trip out of my region to restock! Well-balanced, this gin, which shares my family name and crest (awarded for saving townspeople from a wild boar by killing it with a spear), greets the palate with juniper and sage, some herbs, and perhaps a touch of pepper... * * * * * Influenced by name, but completely unbiased by taste.
