About this bottle

Slivovitz holds a significant place in Eastern European traditions, and Maraska, located in Croatia, is a producer in this category. While recognized for their expertise in maraschino liqueur, they also produce a comprehensive selection of fruit spirits. This plum brandy, also referred to as old plum brandy, is crafted from mature blue plums that come from trees aged two decades. The fruit undergoes fermentation in substantial 2,000-gallon vats for a three-month period before being subjected to a double distillation process. Subsequently, it rests and ages in sizable 500-gallon oak barrels for at least two years.

Minerva Duffy 3.0

It's a bit sharp and fruity, though I can't quite identify the fruit. The aftertaste is warm and smooth but brief.

Sheldon Contreras 3.8

Smells of licorice, tar, wood, and fruit. The taste is sweet and honeyed, with some sharpness and heat. It's decent.

Reese Dunaway 3.0

This is just as anticipated. I find it quite appealing. I will purchase it again.

Dara Bartley 5.0

Among the finest Sljivovicas I've experienced.
