Nose: A gentle, floral scent of vanilla blossom, lavender, tea tree, and lemon bay leaf, with hints of pine forest. Palate: A sweet citrus start leads to spicy heat on the sides of the tongue. As it develops, crisp pepper notes emerge – white pepper, paprika, and a touch of cayenne, especially at the back of the mouth. Juniper and other botanicals appear later, lasting into the finish. Finish: Medium, with spice and floral notes, finishing with some drying oak. An interesting gin with floral aromas and a slightly citrusy, woody character. It's pleasant but the spice and woodiness might be unusual for some. Ice smooths the flavor profile as it melts. With tonic, it loses floral notes and becomes a pleasant dry gin with a hint of woody bitterness. Adding orange bitters and curacao makes a good summer drink. It's enjoyable but not a repurchase, preferring other gins from the brand. Better than average, but expensive. Recommended for sampling. "Above Average": 80/100 (3 stars)
