The scent brings rye spice, vanilla, and orange citrus. After a good swirl, notes of cinnamon and clove emerge. The taste is intense, with the high proof evident. A light caramel sweetness is quickly overtaken by alcoholic heat, woody sawdust, citrus, rye spice, and a hint of shortbread cookie at the end. The oily finish leaves a dry oakiness on the palate.
