Maguey Melate Tepextate Agustin Guendulain Maya

Remarkably different from the Maguey Melate Tepextate varieties from Reina and Adela. This one is fruity, similar to Adela's. I detect a shared characteristic in the flavor profile, possibly from the agave type. A touch of bitterness complements the sweetness. However, what do I know! I've only been seriously exploring mezcal for less than a year. Wow. A pleasant tropical fruit and bubble gum note appears in the finish.

Compared to Hermogenes’ tepextate expression from maguey Melate, this is interesting but less appealing in flavor. More intriguing than enjoyable.
