Licores Veracruz in Oaxaca, Mexico, produces Lajita Mezcal Reposado. After being triple distilled, it rests in oak casks for more than five months. Each bottle includes a single worm and is presented at 40% ABV.

This was the first mezcal we tried, and it was reasonably priced too. We've sought out other, pricier mezcals only to find them less satisfying. This offers a smooth, rich, smoky taste that is enjoyable on the palate.
Appearance: Clear, light gray-gold with somewhat uneven alcohol legs. Aroma: Pungent agave pulp with background smoke. Taste: Intense, strong smoke, savory agave juice, and a hint of pepper. Light body and mouthfeel. Moderate finish. - RJT
The palate is flavorless, then a weak roasted agave and bitter smoke hits. It's paradoxically both weak and flavorless, yet also acrid. A poor mezcal. For a quality mezcal, consider Nucano or Yuu Baal.
Smells like smoked meat, wood, smoked vegetable, earth. Tastes sweet and smoky/meaty with a hint of vegetable and a little plastic. Too much meat and almost no agave.
I was advised against this; however, I've discovered it's my preferred Mezcal.
