Sheryl Waggoner 3.3

From a virtual tasting on May 7, 2021. The nose is sweet with toffee, sherry, fruit (pears), and honey. The palate presents sherry, nutty, green, and floral notes, with very light grass/hay. The finish is medium-long and consistently sweet, offering toffee, sherry, light leather and tobacco notes, plus a bit of wood smoke and slight bitterness on the aftertaste. It possesses a rather typical, albeit old-fashioned, Speyside character. It's well-balanced with pleasant layers of sherry, light leather, and nutty notes. A very easy-drinking and enjoyable dram, reminiscent of a Mortlach. It tied for last place among six samples, receiving 0% of the votes for favorite of the night, though 43% of attendees enjoyed it.
