I expected a more intricate flavor profile given the cost. A medium-bodied whisky with sherry influence, providing a sweet body with hints of dried fruit and an oaky finish with a touch of spice.

A bit delicate for devoted Macallan enthusiasts. Still accessible if found in duty-free shops in northern regions, but not quite as good as the original 12-year expression.
