Low Gap 2 Year Bavarian Hard Wheat

A four-year-old bottle was tried, and though it showed some youthful exuberance now and then, it was certainly enjoyable. The aroma is rich with toasted, earthy white bread, making each sip reminiscent of a lightly spread jam sandwich. The finish features dry herbs that offer a fleeting glimmer rather than a lasting presence. It evokes a warm, dry afternoon spent in a garden in California. While not the most preferred, it stands out as a rather distinctive experience.

I had a serving of this at a bar. By the end of the glass, it reminded me of a lightly malted Irish whisky blend. It's drinkable, but not exceptional. I primarily drink bourbon, so this felt light on my palate. Given the blend of 3 different barrel finishes, my inexperienced tasting palate couldn't detect much complexity. I only noticed the malted wheat.

A smooth, complex whiskey for its youth. The aroma smells potent enough to strip paint, but it's smooth and lacks the expected burn. It has nice woody and spicy undertones. Adding water or ice would diminish the flavor.

Sweet, granular, and nutty. It's quite straightforward, which is not a negative. I genuinely enjoy it in a highball with a lemon wedge.

Pleasingly sweet at first with a velvety conclusion

Notes of vanilla, maple, and fig. It's a pleasurable drink.
