Loren Tidwell 3.8

Nose: Initially smells like a bourbon, with notes of vanilla, toffee, and butterscotch candy, along with a hint of dried apple. Palate: Warm but not as sweet as the aroma suggests. Good heat that fades quickly with pleasant caraway notes. Nice smooth texture. Balanced and not overly complex. Would work well in cocktails. Finish: Long, slightly bitter, with more caraway and rye bread notes.

Kane Espinosa 2.5

Decent rye, lighter and smoother, not too intense. Lacks the complexity I seek in a sipping whiskey, so I'd use it for mixing, but perhaps not at this price point.

Johnnie Ramirez 3.5

A good go-to rye, with a bit of spice and a lingering finish. Nothing particularly stands out, making it a potentially good choice for cocktails.

Jacklyn Parra 3.5

An above-average rye with pleasant spiciness and a mild sweetness. It has a slight sugar-cookie finish.

Rodrigo Hassan 4.3

An excellent traditional rye. It bears a strong resemblance to Peerless Rye, which I really like.

Jamal Flores 5.0

Pleasantly spicy, this is my favorite rye so far.
