The advantage of frequenting a good whisky bar is the chance to sample things unavailable elsewhere. This particular bottle was a non-commercial gift from the Springbank distillery to the Last Word bar after Dramfest. I don't recall seeing or hearing of such an aged Longrow Red before. It comes from a single barrel. Notes of peat, smoke, oak, a touch of bitterness, and bourbon influence. I rate it 3.5.
