Earthy, twig-like peat on the nose. This follows onto the palate with deep red wine notes. The texture is moderate. A finish of barley sugar with hints of grapes.

About this bottle
Longrow is a double-distilled, 100% peated malt whisky from Springbank distillers in Campbeltown. Introduced in 1973 as an experiment to demonstrate mainland production of Islay-style single malt, this unique Campbeltown whisky is aged for 11 years in ex-bourbon barrels before a finish in Burgundy hogsheads. It is bottled at cask strength (112 proof) and was released in a limited run of 7,800 bottles.
