Lohin McKinnon Lightly Peated Alcohol by volume: 43%. No age statement, single malt. Produced in Canada by Central City Brewers and Distillers. I think it was aged in sherry and used bourbon casks (the label on my bottle is somewhat difficult to make out). Smell: Sherry casks and peat, with fruit undertones. Flavor: Mild sweetness/sherry notes, with peat and oak being the most prominent. It bears a resemblance to scotch. A moderately intricate whisky with a brief to medium aftertaste. Quite enjoyable and flavorful, provided the cost isn't an issue. Price: $44.95 plus tax for 750 ml Rating: B+/A-
