This malt's youth really shines through, more than any other Lohin McKinnon whisky. The ethanol is quite prominent, which is a shame considering the genuinely intriguing earthy and wine tannin notes present. It simply wasn't as impressive as the delightful, smooth texture of their other malts in a tasting.

I have sampled four of L&M's whiskies and enjoyed each of them. The wine barrel finish imparts a richness and smoothness to the palate that I did not anticipate. I wish L&M had broader distribution, but my finances and my liver are content with the current situation.
July 13th at a pub in Surrey, BC. Very similar to the standard LMCC product reviewed elsewhere. The wine barrel finish adds a little extra flair. Nice!
The seasoned wine barrels impart a sweet and full flavor, but it lacks depth.
