(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual ‘Spirited Women’ Tasting, March 6, 2021). This tasting was held in celebration of International Women's Day 2021. The GSC curated an exceptional selection of beverages created by women in the drinks industry. The lineup included red and white wine, American whiskey, Scottish whisky, rum, gin, and amaro. Each was a superb example of its category. Aroma: Heavy alcohol presence. Fruity (peach/stone fruit/pear and apple). Sweet and bright, with subtle undertones of tobacco and leather. Palate: Fruit, berries, sweet, fleeting smoke. Finish: Medium-long, with a numbing sensation. Herbal and floral notes. Slightly creamy. It possesses a delightful, substantial mouthfeel. Very pleasant and easy to drink. A light smoke appears initially and vanishes almost instantly. Numerous flavor layers are present, all harmoniously integrated. It was the top choice out of the seven drinks, receiving 41% (9 votes) of the final vote for favorite of the night. 86% (19 people) present indicated they enjoyed the spirit.
