This Lebanese 'pure malt' earns its place among the ten worst whiskies, surpassed only by a spirit from Egypt. The glass emits offensive notes of biowaste, burnt plastic, and cheap deodorant, while an inner voice urges caution. The harshness of raw alcohol is combined with moldy fruit, stale beer, and the essence of a discarded, cold ashtray. To make matters worse, the finish is unpleasantly sweet, persistently bitter, and quite long. A terrible experience; I suspect this dram will linger in my memory for a considerable time.
