I really like this one. The taste of licorice (perhaps anise?) is quite strong, but not at all unpleasant. It's immediately identifiable in the glass because the drink becomes slightly cloudy when tonic is added.

About this bottle
Letherbee Distillers, a Chicago-based distillery with a punk ethos and an "anti-craft" stance, offers this, their flagship gin. It is crafted from 100% grain that is distilled into a neutral spirit and then flavored with eleven botanicals: juniper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cubeb berries, pepper, ginger, dried lemon peel, orange pith, licorice, and almond.

Robust and potent, yet not overwhelming. It really stands out when mixed with a premium tonic, like Top Note, for a G&T. Excellent in a Gibson. Clean, unique, delicious.
Absolutely wonderful. Fruity, herbal. It has an almost creamy texture that I haven't experienced in other gins. Similar to the equally amazing Koval gin.
I'm very pleased with this. Juniper is very prominent but not excessively dry. Not much citrus present, but it goes down very smoothly. Enjoying it with fever tree tonic.
Strong juniper with a licorice-like finish. I concur about the smooth texture. Intriguing. I will certainly purchase another bottle. Good value.
Yuck, licorice.
