Leiper's Fork Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whiskey

Received a sample in Brentwood, Tennessee. Drinks very easily at 100 proof (tastes more like 80). The palate is excessively sweet with a slight tingle at the back of the throat on the finish. Although I'm going out of order, I suppose I should mention the nose: sweet honey and wood with a FAINT cherry note. I would drink it again. 👍🏻

Rich aroma of caramel, dark cherry, honey, apple, celery, fennel, soy sauce, banana, toast, and plenty of greenery. Palate has toffee, black pepper, oak, flowers, corn, and honey. A peppery finish lingers. Rich, sweet, peppery, and complex. Nice.

Tawny mahogany color. Honey, coffee, and roast on the nose. Berry, orange, perhaps nutmeg and pepper on the end. Pretty complex and enjoyable, it changes as it opens up. Leaves a candied fruitiness after the spice.

Thanks to a friend. Tried neat. On the nose, it's quite bland and earthy with notes of wheat and grass. It tastes much better on the palate than it smells, with notes of vanilla, red hots, and cinnamon.

On the nose, notes of coffee, malted chocolate, and cherry. On the palate, cherry, chocolate, and caramel corn. On the finish, notes of toasted oak and sweet tobacco.

It is excellent when enjoyed with chocolate and cherries. I also like it with steak. It's too rich for regular consumption, but it satisfies perfectly once or twice a week.
