I was reconsidering my fondness for Ledaig, but this one makes me hesitate again. A companion I was sharing drinks with favored it over the 10-year Ledaig, appreciating its raw intensity. I, however, am not as fond of that. The finish definitely comes through but is quite sharp, bitter, and harsh. 3.25
Very interesting notes, smoked fatty skin, wood, definitely extreme tastes and aromas
Tasted on 6/25/19 at Gordon’s with a friend.
Moderate peat, a somewhat oily texture, and well-rounded.
Smells like a damp bonfire, caramel and meaty on the palate
