Le Père Jules Calvados Pays d'Auge

Purchased this at a shop in Paris. Made with apples and pears from Normandy, it was distilled twice. Smell: Very similar to apple juice, with a touch more spice. Taste: Tastes of baked apples. Apples and brown sugar mingle nicely. It is not too sweet and has a pleasant cinnamon spice. End: The finish is fairly brief, with a bit of the palate's spice remaining. I liked this, being a fan of baked apples and apple cider. It's a good alternative to usual grape brandy and still tastes like the fruit it came from. Cheers!
