Centennial wheat, an heirloom spring soft white varietal grown by the Cody family in the San Luis Valley, inspires the name of this seasonal bottling from Laws Whiskey House. This bonded wheat whiskey is aged at least 7 years and presented at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Nose: earthy grain notes, sweet cornbread, grassy Palate: cinnamon candy, strong grain-forward profile, has a bite initially. Mid-palate has bread, earthy, some baking spice. Medium body, finish is also medium, soft tannins round out the end. Semi-sweet
On the nose, it has a nice rich wheated bourbon / Weller-type aroma. The palate is all spice, however. I found it a little rough, spicy, bitter, and lacking the rich sweetness I was hoping for from a wheated whiskey.
