Laphroaig 10 Year Cask Strength undergoes a decade of maturation in ex-bourbon casks. In contrast to the standard 10-year bottling, this expression undergoes only barrier filtration, removing substantial char while preserving the whisky's character. Due to its minimal filtration, the spirit may become hazy when water or temperature changes are introduced. Batch 6, released in early 2014, was bottled at 58% ABV (116 proof).
