0.7 l bottle opened by friends, thanks for sharing. Unclear dark golden, slightly oily. Toffee, coconut and orange peel on the nose. Taste is roasted coffee and spice, a hint of vanilla. Nice sweetness, balanced with some oak tartness. Very smooth, a light sipper. Sweet warming finish.

Nose: Very woody, with some caramel notes underneath, reminiscent of demerara. Palate: Dry, crisp, and well-balanced. Oak, barrel char, vanilla. It almost tastes like American whisky, but with distinct fruity undertones of rum. Finish: Vanilla and oak. Medium length. A very enjoyable rum.

This is the solera version. It smells caramelly, but not excessively so. I don't detect spice or wood on the nose, just light vanilla. The taste is well-balanced. There's a little wood at the end; the finish is not extremely long, but not short either.

Mikel Balderas 3.5

A pleasant but very standard molasses Colombian rum. Caramel, vanilla, pepper, honey. No sugar added, yet it has a certain sweetness. Easy to drink!

Barbara Collazo 3.8

Sweet sugarcane, oak, spice, and citrus. A pleasant burnt orange note appears near the end with some alcohol heat. A nice drink if you prefer your rum on the sweeter side.

Denny Drew 4.0

Very good rum. Not excessively sweet and has a noticeable alcohol taste (typical for rum). It's good, but I'm unsure about the value for the cost.
