A complex Okinawa Whisky from Masahiro Shuzo Distillery in Okinawa, Japan, made with Indica rice and aged three years in American White oak barrels at 40% ABV. Its aromatic beginning offers grains, wood, tropical fruits, flowers, nuts, herbs, and spices; a rich, complex middle adds rice, baked fruit cake/birthday cake, white chocolate, and rose, leading to a long, floral finish with oak, vanilla, and dark chocolate notes.

The aroma is full of fruit and quite enjoyable. The taste follows with fruit, and while the texture is a bit thin, it’s not a negative. This spirit would make a fine warm-weather drink. It has a subtle, lasting finish. A great purchase for the cost at Flaviar, though they currently have no stock. I plan to sample a different spirit from Kijura.
Flaviar Advent 2025 #6. Clear, copper-amber body with medium legs. Aroma of warm fruit, toffee, caramel, and vanilla. Flavor of toffee, tobacco, fruit, vanilla, and oak. Medium body with moderate, low warmth. 8/4/8/4/16 4.0
The aroma is funky and complex, with sweetness, a dry conclusion, a hint of sweetness, subtle mineral plum, faint flavor, and a whisper of scotch.
Light amber in hue. The aroma is of rice and cocoa, and it's very silky smooth. The flavors are pronounced with rice being the most dominant.
It went down easy and was nice. Nothing too complicated.
