Kraken Black Roast Coffee Rum

Fantastic coffee 'spirit'. The label states natural flavorings and artificial color. Infused with coffee beans. This offers a smoother, more pleasing coffee taste compared to the vast majority of coffee liqueurs I've tried. Its 66.6 proof, eye roll, and it has a satisfying bite. Jameson cold brew suits those intensely alcoholic drinks you perhaps shouldn't have prepared. This is a coffee spirit that stands on its own merits, hitting the right notes when you desire a boozy coffee. Califa produces a Stok alternative that is sugar-free, wink nudge. Don't be cheap, use a quality vanilla creamer. Superior to Grind coffee rum for those curious.

The rum's taste is softened by the coffee notes, which are quite faint. It makes for a fantastic after-dinner beverage as evening sets in. Tonight, I'm not detecting much complexity beyond the prominent coffee and chocolate. I'm savoring it with a large ice cube, adding a tiny bit of standard Kraken to balance the sugary taste. I'm really liking this.

Good coffee and rum characteristics, but excessively sweet for sipping straight. Adding an ice cube improves it. It would be excellent in some unsweetened cold brew. Typical of most flavored liquors, the concept is there but it's just too damn sweet. I diluted it approximately 50/50 with Kraken 94 over ice... it's still a bit sweet, but this is how it should have been from the start.

It's not really a spiced rum, more like a coffee liqueur made with rum. Still tastes absolutely awesome for a coffee liqueur.

The texture is very syrupy with pronounced coffee notes. An acceptable rum! Be warned, it will discolor your tongue 👅

A perfect combination of coffee and rum. Exceptionally smooth from start to finish.
