First taste from one of these with the updated label. Previously, I recall significant brown sugar. This sample was provided by a friend as a dram exchange. Pale amber-red color. Floral and cedar scents, but also brown sugar and a slight astringency without ethanol. Perhaps some lemon candies too. Thin texture. Immediate rush of rye spice, tobacco and sour vanilla. The middle palate has some brown sugar, lemon candies reappear and the finish lingers for about a minute with some slightly nutty, floral, citrus and cola characteristics. Sipping reveals additional mint leaf, oak and candy cigarette elements. Remarkable, this is just peculiar. Not unpleasant. Not exceptionally good. It's as if someone assembled a collection of components with a "whatever" approach. Sadly, a trace of white label beam is present, which is about as appealing as a glass of lukewarm milk on a sweltering day. Therefore, this expression isn't for me. Interesting, if not unusual, pour.
