Knickerbocker Gin

A crisp London Dry style Gin, created by the founders of New Holland Brewing Company in Holland, Michigan, using 12 botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica root, orange and lemon zest, cinnamon, ginger, orris, cardamon, fennel, clove, and nutmeg. It begins aromatically & cleanly with notes of lemon peel & juniper; a bold & rich middle adds notes of cinnamon, coriander, lemon, orange & cassia; leading to a long & dry end with notes of herbs & spices. A very distinctive gin. The taste has a lot of orange peel. It makes a unique gin and tonic with orange instead of lime. However, I usually have London Drys on hand more often and tend to favor traditional styles, so this would be passed over frequently. For the price, I favor Beefeater 24 or Bombay Sapphire.

Exceptional American gin. Features a citrusy, herbaceous botanical character with traditional juniper notes. It shines in cocktails, offering a distinctive flavor profile, yet that same profile entices one to enjoy it neat for the experience.

The nose has abundant pine. The flavor offers a surprising amount of citrus, with a pleasant balance between the citrus and juniper. It has a warming sensation as it goes down. Excellent product!

Flaviar sample: citrus, lemon, pepper with a thick, oily mouthfeel. Flavorful, but a very persistent peppery aftertaste.

Quite pleasant. A distinct taste. Well done for a gin from Michigan, but the botanical blend is not world-class.
