Reflecting on a wonderful trip to Prince Edward County, the spirits tasting at Kinsip Distillery was a standout. I felt compelled to sample their maple whisky. As someone who truly appreciates whisky, flavor additions can be tricky. The aroma of Kinsip's Maple Whisky is subtle, evoking maple candy. My tastes bring to mind syrup with notes of maple and oak. The finish is understated and a little herbaceous. I'd consider this a post-dinner digestif and imagine it would be great served over ice or in a "Canadian" hot toddy. While it's enjoyable, it leans a bit too sweet for my preference when I'm in the mood for whisky. 7/10.

Very sweet with prominent maple notes. Primarily a dessert whiskey, suitable for the holidays and for adding maple flavor to variations of Old Fashioned and Manhattan cocktails.
